Hello there! I've decided to create a page on my thoughts on animes I've watched. I like reccomend things to people but it's kind of hard to tell what they'd actually be interested in so here are some things I like about these series. Well most of them. Some of them are dragged through the mud because they're garbage. I rate them 1-10 based on overall production. Not necessarily how much I like the series. There are some lower rated ones I love. 10-8s are must watches but 7s and 6s are pretty good depending on what you like to watch.
For reference. The Gay rating is how much homosexuality is in it. The women rating is how good the female characters are or how much the author just hates women. Don't get hung up on those. An anime with a lower women rating isn't necessarily sexist garbage, I just like to catagorize things. The manga rating is only relevant if I've read the manga and the dub rating only if I've watched the dub.

Akiba Maid War 8 Action Comedy gay rating 6/10 women rating 7/10 horny rating 4/10 AKA Akiba Meido Senou. How do I describe Akiba Maid War? Easily. It's a collection of yakuza movie tropes mixed with 90's otaku culture. This anime reimagines the maid cafe boom of the early 2000's to instead have been a long stading industry in Akihabara. One build on loyalty and tradition. This brings a very serious approach to an otherwise light topic, but not too serious. The show is very over the top and absurd. The first episode ends in a mock idol performance with the slaughter of a rival maid group. It focuses on Wahira Nagomi, an up and coming maid just moving to Akihabara to join the Oiky Doink (Ton Toko Ton) Cafe along with another new hire Ranko Mannen. Best girl award goes to the manager for being a fail woman.
Akudama Drive 7 Action Cyberpunk Sci-fi gay rating 3/10 women rating 6/10 horny rating 6/10 Akudama Drive is a cool cyberpunk anime about basically being bullshitting your way into an elite criminal group. The Akumdama are some of the worst criminals there are, each getting their own nickname. Cutthroat, Doctor, Courier, Hacker, Brawler. If you're also an criminal doctor, too bad, there can only be one. Our main character is Ordinary Person, or to the other criminals she's found herself with, Swindler. Swindler's a nice girl, all she wanted to do was return change to someone when suddenly she's being threatened to perform an impossible heist with the most deadly criminals around by a cat. The characters are pretty standard, your stoic just wants to get the job done guy, your sociopath killer, your sexy doctor, your uh, guy who fights. They don't really delve into the characters backstories or anything. The most sympathetic of the bunch might be Hoodlum, a guy in the same boat as Swindler. The weakest I think may be doctor or maybe I'm just sick of sexy doctor types. The visuals are insane, I love the colors, the character designs are done by Rui Komatsuzaki, the designer for Danganronpa. Seasons: 1 Episodes: 12
Akuma no Riddle 7 Action Horror Yuri gay rating 9/10 women rating 7/10 horny rating 4/10 AKA Riddle Story of Devil Akuma no Riddle is what would happen if you put an entire classroom of sexually repressed lesbian assassins in the same room. Which sounds more exciting than it is. For every scene with unhinged crazy girl absurdity, there's fifty of just characters looking menacingly or sadly at each other. So like most yuri, just some of them die sometimes.
Angel Beats 7 Comedy Drama Romance gay rating 4/10 women rating 6/10 horny rating 3/10 dub rating 3/10 how do I describe angel beats. well let's just say when looking up images for this part i found an amv for hey soul sister. so its the type of anime you can picture hey soul sister playing in the background. It's about a boy who lives in a limbo-like high school unable to die but still get killed anyway. Yuzuru Otonashi doesn't remember his life before his death and arrival at the school. And as soon as he arrives he's in the middle of an operation by the Shinda Sekai Sensen to attack Angel, the student body president. Angel is believed by the SSS to be an agent of god whos goal is to force them to move on. The SSS rebels by trying to take her out. The phsycial jokes are funny. The characters for the most part are pretty interesting. Except the main character though. He's got bland main energy. Yuri Nakamura is the leader of the SSS and is pretty much we have Haruhi Suzumiya at home. Angel is emotionless and enforces the school rules. By participating and following the rules is how the students move on. Seasons:1 Episodes:13
Anohana 9 Drama gay rating 1/10 women rating 7/10 horny rating 2/10 AKA Ano Hi Mita Hana Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai AKA The Flower We Saw That Day Anohana has been described as one of the saddest animes ever made. And those people are correct. The story follows Jinta Yadomi and his estranged group of friends reuinting under the common goal to grant one wish to their childhood friend Menma whom they haven't seen in five year. The reason they haven't seen her in so long? She's dead. Anohana is about grief, coping the loss of a friend, especially one as tragic as a child. Jinta's friends grow distant specifically because of that loss, despite it being years, no one can fully process what happened, they all feel a part responsible of the accident. Jinta must try and bridge the distance between them to grant Menma's wish. Something which isn't easy to do, since he's the only one who can see her, and trying to explain your dead childhood friend wants you two to hang out isn't super convincing. Even he at first isn't exactly on board, still convinced she's a hallucination. All of the characters in Anohana are deeply complex, they hall have their own ways of coping with Menma's death, most of which are unhealthy. Menma herself is portrayed as a saint, the others think of her as this pure spirit, a tragic figure that lives in their memory. Her ghost is pale, wearing a white dress. She's childish and innocent, because she still is a child. Seeing the group slowly form back together it's apparent that not only did they drift apart because of the trauma of her death but because Menma was what kept them together. Grant her wish so she can move on. Whatever that wish may be. Because thing is, she doesn't remember. Also there are gameboy advance sps in it baby! The best handheld console ever made!

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu 7 Action Comedy Scifi gay rating 5/10 women rating 4/10 horny rating 4/10 AKA Assassination Classroom. Assassination Classroom is about a class of students with one goal in mind. To kill their teacher. Their teacher being a genetically engineered octopus monster, of course. This anime was adapted from a manga by Yusei Matsui. He also wrote my favorite manga, Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro, but I'll talk about that more later.
Ao no Exorcist 7 Action Supernatural gay rating 3/10 women rating 4/10 horny rating 3/10 AKA Blue Exorcist. blue exorcist is definently an anime... that i finished the first season of. and then he becomes the bluest of exocists. you would not believe how blue this guy gets. oo he's soo cool, you know he's cool because he's on the awesome heroes wikia. Aoharu x Kikanjuu 7 Action Comedy gay rating 7/10 women rating 7/10 horny rating 2/10 manga rating 7/10 Aoharu x Kikanjuu is basically Ouran High School Host Club but with guns. Like almost exactly. Hotaru Tachibana is androgynous and mistaken for a boy when she wrecks a host club when she thinks they've scammed her friend. The main host, Masamune Matsuoka, conscripts her to join his survival game team in order to pay back for all the damage she's done. She meets her other teammate Touru Yukimura and starts to play matches. And she starts to have fun, which is a problem since her teammates still think she's a boy and there's a no girls allowed rule on the team. Now she's all like what do I do? Do I reveal my gender? What if they hate me? You know what's up. Regardless, Aoharu x Kikanjuu kinda owns. Like it's just fun and the characters are interesting.

Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio: Ars Nova 6 Action Scifi gay rating 5/10 women rating 6/10 horny rating 4/10 AKA Arpeggio of Blue Steel. That's right it's time for Battle Ships but they're cute girls. If I had a nickle for every time I saw a show with battle ships but they're anime waifus I'd have two nickles. However the main character isn't one of these girls, it's Gunzou Chihaya, who is the high school captain of one of these ships that he just so happened to have found and gained control over. AHnA takes place in the future where rising sea levels have led humanity to mostly live on water. At some point sentient warship, possibly aliens, arrive and attack the humans. They are known as The Fleet of Fog and they're the said cute girl battle ships. These cute girls are called mental modes and are in control of the ships. Gunzou has to fight the enemy ships with his own called Blue Steel and it's sentience, Iona. Sort of, his main boal is to deliver a prototype of a weapon to be used against The Fleet of Fog. It's mostly military politics and battle ship fighting. All the Fleet of Fog members are based off real japanese warships. The animation is actually 3D which doesn't often look too well but this anime pulls it off. Seasons: 1 Episodes: 12

Araburu Kisetsu no Otome-domo yo 7 Drama gay rating 7/10 women rating 5/10 horny rating 5/10 AKA O Maidens in Your Savage Season. This anime makes me depressed! It's about becoming a woman, and navigating the world of sex and romance as a teenager. Because one day you're a kid and you're not allowed to talk about those things. Then suddenly, everyone is talking about them, and you're expected to do them. It's about five girls and the way they develop. Either dealing with attraction to people you're not supposed to, or coping with being sexualized at a young age. This anime gave me heart palpitaions at times. One sexual encounter got me so worried I almost had to stop. Some of them are pretty cool, the main character, Kazusa, and her clubmate Rika actually have pretty sweet storyline. Even Momoko's is pretty sweet if not a little sad. Hitoha and Niina's are deeply uncomfortable. But that doesn't mean they're bad. It actually draws an interesting comparison. Seasons: 1 Episodes: 12

Baccano! 8 action mystery gay rating 2/10 women rating 4/10 hony rating 2/10 Baccano! is one of the best anime ever made for one reason. It's on a train. Finally. Finally an anime that takes place pretty much solely on a train. Aside from the flashbacks that is. In fact Baccano consist of about half flashbacks. Some to a few years ago, some to centuries ago. And you're left to wonder what this train heist show in 30's chicago has to do with settlers from the 1700s. And it all comes together in a very interesting and entertaining way. It has so many characters that make you think how could they possibly be related to the plot. But everything's relevant. And you don't see it coming. There is a man named Jacuzzi Splot though. Seasons: 1 Episodes 16
Baka to Test to Shokanju 6 Comedy Battle gay rating 6/10 women rating 4/10 horny rating 6/10 AKA Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts. Baka To Test is an insane anime for people who like every anime trope ever. The story is about the dumbest boy in his grade in the worst class in his grade. His grades are so bad he does remedial work for the school. Speaking of the school, Fumizuki Academy is actually based on a pseudo caste systems which the only way to move up is by battling avatars against other classes in order to gain their equipment. This equipment is based on your level. Class F learns on broken tables while Class A has snacks and laptops. The story is how Class F intends to gain the best equipment in the school, proving that just because your grades are low doesn't mean you can't achieve success. Baka to Test is very silly, it's cartoony and childish. But it also has some deeper meaning. In Japan which school you go to is based on an entrance exam. In Baka to Test, Mizuki Himeji is sick the day of the test that will determine which class she's placed into so despite her good grades, she's placed in Class F. Minami Shimada's first language is German and can't read Kanji so she also fails. There are several characters in the show that highlight why bad grades don't necessarily mean the person is dumb. On top of that. It's just a fun watch. Seaons:2 Episodes:26
Battery 6 Drama Sports gay rating 6/10 women rating 1/10 horny rating 1/10 Battery is an Amazon exclusive anime that went widely unnoticed. I think I'm of the only people on earth who watched Battery and the only person who thought it was pretty good. Battery isn't a baseball anime. Not really. In baseball anime there are matches, and tournaments, but that's not really the focus in Battery. In baseball a battery is the combination of a pitcher and catcher.

Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu LOVE! 6 Magical Girl Comedy gay rating 7/10 women rating 1/10 horny rating 2/10 AKA Cute High Earth Defense Club Love! This anime is basically just a magical girl anime with the twist of it being guys instead. It follows the main five guys, Yumoto, En, Ryuu, Atsushi, and Io and their journey to become Battle Lovers and protect earth from three evil villains as each week they summon new monstrous threats the boys must defeat. Not without their reistance, though. They'd rather be chilling. They are led by a pink wombat whos every other word is love, because of course they are. The transformations are rather good looking. I always love a good magical girl transformation. After awhile the comedy and premise start to wear down. The characters don't grow much and seem to stick to their initial trope. It just gets kind of old after awhile. It wants to only rely on the premise and not really evolve past that. It really shouldn't have had three seasons. Binan Kokoukou is a good anime to watch if you wanna lose your damn mind. Seasons: 3 Episodes: 36

Blood Lad 5 Action Comedy Supernatural gay rating 2/10 women rating 3/10 horny rating 9/10 Blood Lad is an affront to nature. The anime only had 10 episodes and I can only assume they cut it off before it could scar anyone else. The anime's too horny.

Bofuri 6 Action Adventure Comedy Fantasy Isekai gay rating 6/10 women rating 7/10 horny rating 3/10 AKA Itai no wa Iya nanode Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoismasu AKA I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. Bofuri about Kaede Honjou or 'Maple,' a girl who has been invited by her friend to join New World Online, an MMO. And since this is anime, it's a fully immersive game with VR technology. She's a little scared of this technology and is afraid she'll actually get hurt so she puts all her skill points into defense, at the expanse of the rest of her skills. As this goes on she starts to get op, and completely unkillable. Maple herself is very enjoyable to watch. It's fun to see her completely misunderstand the mechanics of the game. All her solutions to problems are usually solved by the most out of left field solutions. One of the first boss fights she has, her solution to losing her weapons is to just straight up eat it. Just gnaw on the giant lizard til it dies. This takes maybe hours. Absolute mad lad. She's also give just total edgelord despite being a complete cinnamon roll. The black and red armor? The ability to transform into not only a lazer mecha suit but also a giant lizard herself? Iconic. Bofuri hits alot of the standard tropes of an isekai, I feel most of the characters are forgettable, it mostly hinges on one concept. But even if they are forgettable, they're still likable. On the whole the anime is very relax, hang out, watch a few eps, zone out for awhile. There are few stakes other than, just beat a game challenge. Despite it's similarities to Sword Art Online, no one's getting killed and even if the main character is op, it's fun and silly and the joke is how gamebreaking it is. Well if it's that great, why is only a 6? Like I said, it's pretty forgetable, I can't remember a single characters name outside Maple, even her best friend and co main character. The world, though pretty, is generic. There's very little to write home about aside from Maple herself. Seasons: 2 Episodes: 24
Bocchi the Rock! 8 Comedy Slice of Life gay rating 6/10 women rating 8/10 horny rating 1/10 Bocchi the rock is a 2023 comedy and unlike many comedies, it's actually funny. Bocchi is a girl who wants more than anything to have friends and to be noticed. But in order to do that, she actually has to GET noticed. And that's the problem.
Boku no Hero Academia 7 Action gay rating 4/10 women rating 4/10 horny rating 4/10 AKA My Hero Academia. BNHA is a show about the way superheroes would be integrated into a society. Would they have to go to a special school? Would they need a license? What kind of heroes have what jobs? You know how it is. Our main character is Izuku Midoriya or 'Deku.' His only wish is to be a superhero, however, unlike everyone else in this world who has their own unique superpower, or 'quirks,' he doesn't have one. Still he's detirmined to save people even if it means putting himself at risk. This is noticed by his soon to be mentor, All Might, the top hero in Japan. All Might is actually able to share his superpower with certain people, and he decides Deku makes the cut. So Deku has to learn to control these incredible powers while learning what it really means to be a hero. I, uh, I don't really care about BNHA. I dropped the manga after a few issues before the anime came out, and when the anime did come out I watched about three seasons before dipping. There are alot of things I like about it, though. I like the art styles, I like how influenced it is by western comics and cartoons. All Might being American Man was pretty funny, this man's name is Tonishnori Yagi. I like many of the character designs, I think alot of their powers are pretty unique. However, it all feels sort of sterile. Like I know there are stakes, but it doesn't really feel like it, it's too saturday morning cartoon. Even when bad stuff does happen, I'm not really invested, I feel like it's just going to be undone in a few episodes. Characters lose their quirks throughout the course of the show, ruining their careers and dreams, and yet I just don't think it'll stick. A character died recently in the manga and people are like, ok so when will he be back. There's also been alot of discourse about the treatment of the female characters. And like, a lot of the female characters a pretty good, but they're also underutilized and underdeveloped. Wasn't Uraka supposed to be a main character? Where is she? Because even when female characters do show up they fall victim to the shounen trope of just sort of being there.

Bokurano 8 Mecha Psychological gay rating 1/10 women rating 4/10 horny rating 2/10 Bokurano is like Madoka Magica but with giant robots. It came out in the far off year of 2007 and is based off a 2003 manga.It starts with 15 children who are all staying at a camp on vacation when they find a cave on a beach, inside it Kokopelli. He tells them of a game, where they each can pilot a giant robot and save earth from invading aliens. Everyone's like, sounds sick, let's do it, not knowing it's a real giant robot with real aliens they have to fight. Then every episode follows the friends as each week another alien robot appears they have to fight, lest the earth is destroyed. In the cockpit of the robot they find a circle of chairs, each assigned to one of them. A creature called Koyemshi appears and tells them he's their guide. He tells them how to pilot the robot, how one of them is the captain each time, and how to defeat the enemy. The robot is named by them, Zearth. One this about Bokura no is the opening slaps, like's it's everything to me. I heard this op even before I knew it came from a show, people were just using it is sad anime edits. Another thing about Bokurano, great character writing. Thought not all the characters are memorable, the stories surrounding those characters are, there are a couple of episodes devoted to each of them, their lives, their struggles, and really makes you sypathize with them. The atmosphere is moody and intense. I can't get in too deep into the plot because the end of the first episode and what it means for the rest of the characters is muy excellente, so tense. Bokurano falls into one of my favorite genres which is, kids having a bad time. A good way to describe it is musical chairs crossed with the trolley problem, but you are the one tied to the tracks. You would probably like this series if you like anime like Madoka Magica or Neon Genesis Evangelion. Seasons: 1 Episodes: 24
Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou 6 Romance Slice-of-Life Comedy gay rating 2/10 women rating 5/10 horny rating 4/10 AKA The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior. This anime follows Kazunari Usa, a student who just started living alone. He then starts to live in a boarding house with an array of wacky characters, usually female. Love Hina ass plot. It starts with him showing up to the Kawai complex only to find out only insane people live there and deciding to dip, but on his way out he sees the girl he's been having romantic fantasies about all day right outside. Apparently she lives there too and this is cause enough for him to stay. It's mainly a slice of life with a bit of romance dashed in with the main love interest being Ritsu Kawai, a shy studious student from his high school. They really lean hard on the studious aspect, every promotional shot has this bitch with a book. The other characters are pretty likable but they could still use a little move depth. Sayaka best girl though. Something I don't like about the series is the art style. I think the lighting is a little too much, it just adds another layer of detail that makes the image feel busy. And the background piano is so loud. I find the pacing and the jokes a little visually weird but they often work. Seasons: 1 Episodes: 12
Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan 5 Comedy gay rating 1/10 women rating 3/10 horny rating 6/10 AKA Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan. Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan is well, hm. It's an anime that has characters that, well. Ok Dokuro-chan is an angel who wields a giant club named Excaliborg which she used to repeatedly murder and revives the main character, Sakura Kusakabe. She does this in order to prevent him from developing a method of stopping women from aging, creating a future world made of lolis. So that's what happens... in this... anime.
Boruto 6 Action gay rating 4/10 women rating 4/10 horny rating 2/10 Boruto is the sequal series to Naruto. And it is a pale comparison. Literally. It's not nearly as dark. It's too smooth, polished, and there are very little if any stakes. Whereas Naruto begins with the characters graduating ninja school and going on life or death missions, the characters of Boruto just sort of hang out. The lack of stakes is most present in the chunin exams where a good portion of the exam takes place in the death forest, Boruto's is a pretty simple test of skill. One can contribute this to the fact that things have changed, the ninja war is over. These are peaceful times. It's also boring. There characters are okay. Most of them being decendants of the previous generation. That all happened to have kids in the same year I guess. The style is just, nothing. Where's the grit and grime? Where's the flavor? They swapped the ramen for burgers. I can't even recognize the series anymore.
Brand New Animal 7 Action Mystery Supernatural gay rating 6/10 women raitng 7/10 horny rating 2/10 dub rating 7/10 Brand New Animal, or BNA is about a human girl named Michiru minding her own damn business them bam, furried. Michiru has been turned into a beastman. Beastmen are people who can turn into anthropomorphic animals, the majority of which, live in Anima City because of ostracization from humans. In Anima City there is a problem, though, some beastmen have been going berzerk. BNA is produced by Studio Trigger, a company known for their fantastic animation, but not always fantastic endings. And it does feel rushed. Lots of plot threads are sort of crammed into one episode and the villain underwhelming. Seasons: 1 Episodes: 12
Buddy Daddies 8 Action Comedy gay rating 7/10 women rating 5/10 horny rating 2/10 we have spy x family at home. The spy x family at home: a four course meal. Buddy Daddies is an unfortunate name for an anime that will rip out your soul and leave you bleeding on the ground. It's the anime version of that cat screaming and crying picture. It's about two hitmen who live with and carry out jobs together. They also parent the child of one of their targets together. Miri is the name of the daughter and admittedly is pretty annoying at first, but then you start to like her presence onscreen. She's not just their child, she's yours too. You are a buddy daddy. I didn't think I'd like Buddy Daddies, I don't normally like kids or parenting or stories about them, but the characters here are just too wholesome. It deals alot with the actual realities of taking care of a kid. Paperwork, buying clothes, going to field day. It's a story about how these two guys who are so unattached, even from Miri at first, only seeing her as a temporary thing even when she doesn't have anywhere else to go. It shows how they grow to love and care about her. Seasons: 1 Episodes: 12
Bungou Stray Dogs 8 Action Mystery Supernatural gay rating 8/10 women rating 8/10 horny rating 1/10 manga rating 7/10 Bungou Stray Dogs hasn't left my brain in four years. It just lives there now. I'm part Bungou Stray Dogs. Initially I first watched it, though, eh it's okay, and then stopped after episode 4. Then I saw an image of a lovely boy and thought, okay sign me up. So I started again, and watched three seasons in one night. /

Chihayafuru 8 sports gay rating 1/10 women rating 7/10 horny rating 1/10 Chihayaruru is a sweet anime that's hard to understand. Not so much the plot, but the game itself. Chihayafuru is about the card game karuta. A game whcih is played by memorizing 100 poems from the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu and being able to predict what poem a speaker is reading. Basically you place the cards face up on the ground between you and your opponent while the speaker start reading the poem, when you figure out which card that poem corresponds to, you slap it away before they can. This however, is near impossible to follow along without knowing Japanese nor these poems. However, you can feel the tension in the characters, understand their strategies and motivations. And these are very good.

K 5 gay rating 7/10 women rating 1/10 horny rating 9/10 i hate k so much it's unreal. it drives me to the brink every second of every day. k is an anime/ light novel series/ war crime. the worst part of k is how good it is and by good i mean terrible. This son of a bitch has an interesting plot, fascinating characters, engrossing dynamics, and it looks terrible. Why did they do this? What could have compelled gohands to make this look like shit other than the fact that all their other shows also look like it. The male character designs are kind of excellent though, aside from the weird shading they're pretty goddam solid. The female character designs are an affront to god. This woman is fighting in professional uniform with her whole ass and titties out. Why. She's not even a bad character. I know why anime has fanservice in it, for the large part I can ignore it. But it doesn't fit, not with her character, and not with the mood. Who is this for? The audience is entirely made up of fujoshi here for the queerbait. There's no one else watching k.
